Course Introduction

INTRODUCTION

Our objective for the spiritual growth of the disciple of Jesus, The Christ, in 2025 is to provide sufficient supportive references within the Holy Bible that will help establish for some, and re-enforce for others, a strong Christian Identity required in this modern age to minister to people professing to be Christians but are identifying with values contrary to Christian Principles.

In this modern age constant attempts to influence who we are and how we should act is coming at us through social norms, psychologist, therapist, health guru, culture, and many more avenues.

The world tells us we can embrace any identity we want. “I am a man.” “I am a woman.” “I am Native American, or White, or Black, or Asian, or Hispanic, or Latino, etc. Others may identify by their Nationality.

Perhaps you identify with how you earn your living: Accountant, Physician, Attorney, Politician, Financier, Pastor or Minister, Entertainer, Construction Worker, Hair Stylist, Social Influencer. These identities are limitless and easy to embrace.

There exists a false identity narrative that has been initiated by the enemy. The false narrative is that you can be whoever you want to me. You have the freedom to express yourself in any kind of form or fashion. There are no rules or restraints, because rules and restraints keep you in bondage.

This falseness is based on feelings, it’s a “let yourself go” lifestyle that makes you feel good about yourself. The enemy lies, and tells us we will be happy with the identity we choose: “Why, doesn’t God want us to be happy? “ The goal of the enemy of your soul is to destroy your relationship with God.

The enemy is a liar, “And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die: for God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.” Gen. 3:5,6(KJV)

The solution to these false identities for the disciple of Jesus, The Christ, is simple: embrace the core identity as a Child of God. Accepting my identity in Christ brings freedom, resting in the security that’s found in Jesus, The Christ, The Son of God.

How Do I identify with Jesus, The Christ, dying on the Cross?

What principles are identified when I preach “Jesus Christ and Him Crucified?”

What values are identified when I embrace the 1st and 2nd Great Commandments?

How does the “Fruit of The Spirit” help other people identify me?

I must pick up my cross and come after Him and follow Him. “And he said to them all, if any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me. For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: but whosoever will lose his life for my sake, the same shall save it.” Luke 9:23-24

I must deny my feelings. Forsake what I want. I must forsake any detrimental allegiance to my Christian Identity and give my allegiance to Jesus, The Christ.

Gospel singer William McDowell wrote: “I give myself away so you may use me…My life is not my own, to you I belong, I give myself, I give myself to you.”

I don’t have a life outside of Jesus, The Christ. All I do is to live for Him. I am to crucify my flesh. “And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.” Gal. 5:24.

I have an identity in Jesus, The Christ, because I have been born again, not by the flesh, but by the Spirit of God. “Therefore is any man be in Christ, he is a new creature old things are passed away, behold, all things are become new.” II Cor. 5:17.
